UNESCO has declared 10 World Heritage Sites, 7 inside Kathmandu Valley and 3 outside out of which, seven cultural heritage sites are located inside Kathmandu valley within the distance of 20 km, which are as; Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar square, Patan Durbar square, Bhaktapur Durbar square and Changunarayan temple. The eighth cultural site is the sacred place in Lumbini also known as the birth place of Gautam Buddha, which is outside the Kathmandu valley. The rest of two are natural world heritage sites, as; Sagarmatha National Park and Chitwan National Park .
These seven World Heritage Sites are all amazing man-made wonders still standing majestically? Some of them as old as 2500 years. The legendary mountain kingdom of the Himalayas very small in size but can proudly boast of variety of things found nowhere else in the world. The small area of Nepal holds a considerably high number of places recognized by UNESCO as "World Heritage Sites".

Day 1: |
Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: |
Kathmandu: Full day sightseeing tour of Boudhanath, (Bouddhanath is among the largest stupas in South Asia, and it has become the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal . The white mound looms thirty-six meters overhead. The stupa is located on the ancient trade route to Tibet and Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers here for many centuries. Boudhanath is the best place in the Valley to observe Tibetan lifestyle.)
Pashupatinath ( Pashupatinath is Nepal 's holiest Hindu Pilgrimage site (followed by the remote Muktinath in the Himalaya ). Like Varanasi in India - although on a much smaller scale - it is a time-warp of temples, cremation ghats, ritual bathers and bearded, half-naked sadhus (religious mendicants).. And Kathmandu Durbar Square . In fact Kathmandu boasts one of the largest congregations of magnificent historical monuments and shrines ever built. Duly recognized as a world Heritage Site by UNESCO- this particular area best known as Kathmandu Durbar Square lies in the heart of the city. It is the historic seat of royalty. Day 3: |
Drive to Chitwan National Park : Owing to its rich adornment of nature the park was declared UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in 1984. The park that includes in its area a part of the Churiya Hills is covered with deciduous forests overlooking the floodplains of Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers. There are around 600 plants species, 50 mammals, 526 birds and 49 amphibians, reptiles found in the park. The highlights, of course, are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros and some 100 nocturnal Royal Bengal tiger that live in the dense forests of the park. Sharing home with these are other animals like rhesus monkey, gray lungur, deer, leopards, white stockinged gaur, wild boar, wild dogs and wild cats. Jungle activities in Chitwan. |
Day 4: |

Day 5: |
After breakfast drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace and compassion. It is a place of pilgrimage for Buddhist as well as place of reverence for peace lovers of any religious faith throughout the world. In Lumbini the central attraction is the sacred garden with Maya Devi temple depicting the birth of Lord Buddha, Ashoka Pillar pinpointing the birthplace of Buddha and Shakya Tank where Maya Devi, the mother of Lord Buddha, is supposed to have taken a dip before bringing forth the baby - Lord Buddha. Around this holy site, there are remnants of Monasteries and Chaityas built over the centuries following Buddha's birth in 632 BC. Overnight at hotel. |
Day 6: |
full day Lumbini go to visit Tilaurakot (25kms) to the west, the ancient capital of Kapilvastu, the Kingdom of the Sakya Dynasty in which Lord Buddha was born. PM tour of Monastery Zone and the Lumbini Village Overnight at hotel.. |
Day 7: |
Fly back to Kathmandu and leave for World Heritage tour of Changunarayan and Bhaktapur: Changunarayan - is the most ancient Hindu temple in Kathmandu , and is dedicated to lord Vishnu and Bhaktapur – is a medieval charm and visitors to this ancient town, are treated to myriad wonders of cultural and artistic achievements. |
Day 8: |

Kathmandu World Heritage Tour of Patan Durbar Square and Swayabhunath:The ancient city of Patan lying 5km southeast of Kathmandu is known as the city of fine arts. The city is full of Hindus temples and Buddhist monuments. Swyambhunath - This temple is one of the world's most enchanting glorious and the oldest Buddhist stupas. It is said to be more than 2000 years old.It proves excellent views of Kathmandu valley. |
