Our Foundation:

Above the Himalaya Trekking Company was established by a group of dedicated, young and experienced trekking mountaineering / Expeditions trekking guides and tour leaders. . During our working lives we have provided thousands of adventure and pleasure trips. Because of our quality, safe, friendly and economic service, many of our clients have now become our friends .We always believe in work and quality. All our staff is trained and has insurance and free access to equipments. The salaries are above average.. Our porters carry a maximum of 25 Kg. and they are paid well and totally equipped and insured. Medical care if needed is for everyone in the expedition.

Safety

Our top priority is the safety and security of our customers and staff during all of our trips. Our leaders are all thoroughly trained and highly experienced in leading groups through the Himalayas . They all have a special training in first aid and as well in crisis management. In the rare case of an incident occurring on the trek they can organise a rapid medical evacuation. We carry first aid kits on all of our tours, which is readily available for both customers and staff. We are constantly in communication with our field office and monitor all aspects of government and weather issues that might affect your trip. Also, we are always available on hour 24 hours emegency phoneline. During remote treks, where the nearest village might be a very long walk, our staff carries a satellite phone for communication and in case of emergency helicopter rescue is available.

Trained & skilled staffs:

All of our guides have trained for and attained a Trekking Guide license provided by the Government.
All our Guides are highly trained and skilled in First Aid, Altitude Issues and Environmental Protection.

Our guides can speak fluent English, a few of them speak additional languages (French, German, Spanish and Japanese. Fresh and Hygienic Food

During camping treks, expeditions and safaris, we will offer you always fresh, organic and hygienically prepared food which is served by our private cooks. You can have wonderful international dishes, ranging from Italian, Mexican, Indian and other western foods. Of course we can also offer you typical Nepalese food! We always use purified water for washing vegetables and fruits, and for washing dishes and glasses. During treks to high altitude we will adjust our food offered with suitable food to prevent altitude sickness and to provide a healthy nutrition. Beverages include Nepali tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Female Guide and Porters:

Above the Himalaya trekking can offer both male and female porters and guides.
Even though we have excellent recommendations and experiences from single female trekkers about our male guides, we do understand that some prefer to be accompanied by only women staff.

Student Discount:

Above the Himalaya welcomes all students to Nepal , we can offer you cultural tours, volunteer projects and other type of educational activities.We offer a 10% discount for students, to apply for this discount we require the student ID details while booking your trip.

Charity:

We have been involved in local charities for years now and a percentage of your tour costs goes towards helping these charities. If you are interested to visit the places and see what your contribution has provided we can include this in your tour programm.
