Our Foundation

Above the Himalaya Trekking Company was established by a group of dedicated, young and experienced trekking mountaineering / Expeditions trekking guides and tour leaders. . During our working lives we have provided thousands of adventure and pleasure trips. All our staff is trained and has insurance and free access to equipments. The salaries are above average. Our porters carry a maximum of 25 Kg. and they are paid well and totally equipped and insured. Medical care if needed is for everyone in the expedition.

Our top priority is the safety and security of our customer on our every trip for both our customers and trek staff. Our leaders are all trained and highly experienced in leading groups in the Himalayas , they got a special training in first aid and crisis management and in the rare case of an incident occurring on the trek they can organize a rapid medical evacuation. We carry first aid kits in all our tours. We are in constant communication with our field offices and monitor all aspects of government Policy and weather that might affect your trip. We are on call 24 hours a day. For our remote treks, where the nearest village might be a long walk, we take a satellite phone for communication and in case of emergency helicopter rescue is available
