Western Nepal Trekking
Trekking in Nepal is to perceive miraculous combination of nature culture and rural life as well. In this context, the western part of Nepal has to offer many natural and adventurous destinations. However, it is remote and unknown from the Western viewpoint because of its relative inaccessibility and its distance from Kathmandu.
Glimpses of cultures and scenery offered in this treks are quite different from those in the rest of Nepal. Rara Lake, for example, lies in the remote Karnali Zone in the north- west of Nepal. It is often regarded as one of the most sought after tourism destination in Nepal. Moreover, the Shay Phoksundo National Park with diversity of plant and animal species is another attraction. The region, in addition, is made up of long ridges covered with temperate forests and alpine pastures enclosing high valleys.
Isolated high Himalayan valleys across northern Nepal, the most amazing desert landscapes, Old Buddhist monasteries, enthralling culture and tradition are some of the highlights of Western Nepal Trekking. Moreover, one is likely to experience the vast array of wildlife inhabiting the region, including Blue sheep, Mountain Goat, Jackal, Wolf and the legendary Snow Leopard.
Some of these treks, including Shey Gompa to the north of Phoksumdo Lake and Humla to the north-west of Jumla are described in the section on Restricted Areas. Many of the trails in the west continue to the northern side of the Himalayan ranges of Nampa, Saipal and Kanjiroba, making it easier for trekkers to hike along river valleys and into Tibet.

Upper Dolpo Trekking
The Dolpa region, designated as Shey Phoksundo National Park, is the most remote district in Nepal situated in the Trans Himalayan region of mid-western Nepal. It was only opened to trekkers in 1990 Dolpo is restricted area as well where you need to have a special permits to go. Not so many tourists have been in this area. Lower Dolpo Trekking
This lower Dolpo trek is Located in the central west of the country. It is a rain shadow area and was opened in 1991 for trekking, the focal point of the area is Shey Phoksunddo National park . This Dolpo area is remote and rugged protected area is both scenically and culturally attractive. The lower Dolpo trek circuit can be completed in eight day from Juphal back to Juphal. The circuit can be completed either clock wise or anticlockwise, in both way the focal point of the trek are Phoksundo lake and the Tarap valley...........
Jumla Rara Lake Trekking
