7. Official Visa
The official visa shall be granted to the persons considered fit by Government of Nepal and their family and to the following foreigners and their family upon recommendation of the concerned diplomatic missions.
a) Administrative, Technical and non- diplomatic officials serving in a residential or non residential diplomatic missions, a consulate for Nepal and incumbent Nepalese honorary Consuls and their family who visit Nepal from a foreign country.
b) Consultant experts who stay in Nepal under an agreement with The Government of Nepal
c) Employees serving in the Nepal based offices of the united Nations or its agencies and the laissez-passer granted by the united Nations
d) Employee’s serving in the international institutions or regional organization located in Nepal. Issuing Authority: Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For 30 days entry diplomatic missions and the immigration office at the entry points on Nepal
8. Study Visa
A foreigner who wants to study, teach or conduct research works in any educational institute having obtained the approval of The Government of Nepal. Students, Research scholors, Teachers and their family member can apply for this Visa. While applying the application the applicants should produce: Recommendation from the Ministry of Education.
Bank encashment receipt banks balance equivalent to 3,000 US$ per year for applicants and US$ 2000 for each family, Severn copies of application forms with photographs. One photocopy of passport including the copy of last Nepalese visa. Duration: Up to one year, however, it can be extended for the period of research or academic year. Fee: Nepalese currency equivalent to US$ 40 per month (In Nepalese Currency)
9. Business Visa
Applying:
Foreigner’s investors or their authorized agents and their family members. Needed to apply:
License certificate to make investment in any business or industrial enterprises in the kingdom of Nepal.
Recommendation from the concerned Ministry/Department, Seven copies of passport including the last Nepalese visa. Duration: up to five years at one time, Issuing Authority: Department of immigration.Visa fee: US$ 100 for one year and US$ 25o for five years.
