Leaving Dza Rongbuk, we drive through the village of Chhosang, Phadrukchi, over Pang La, across Phung Chhu or Arun River, and into Dingri. From the Dingri plain we drive across the high Tibetan plateau to the trade post town of Nylam and onto Zhangmu, the border town. Everest Base Camp Trekking from Tibet Itinerary Detail
Day 01 Arrive in Lhasa (3650 m/11972ft)
The Starting day of the Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour, you will arrive Lhasa via Nepal or mainland China. If you choose to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa you will have 1 hour 10 minutes Trans-Himalayan flight which is considered one of the most beautiful air routes in the world. the flights provides you the magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m) and other Himalayan peaks., You will be met at Gonggar Airport by your Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities, you will be driven to Lhasa (3650 meters). It takes around 45 minutes to reach the old city. After checking in at your hotel, you will reach Lhasa. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa's altitude. Overnight in Lhasa
Day 02:Lhasa Sightseeing Tour
Today we explore the heart of Tibet with taking the special tour; our tour begins with a visit to Sera Monastery, Sera, in Tibetan, means "Wild Rose Garden" since opulent wild rose woods once grew around it. The Sera monastery was completed in 1419. The Monastery is erected grandly at a mountain slope with a colorful architecture, Explore Norbulinka Palace, in Tibetan ‘beautiful gardens’ and the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. At serene Sera Monastery, enjoy watching the monks animatedly debating the Buddhist scriptures and see the wonderful collection of ancient murals and statues as well as scriptures written in gold powder, wonderful scroll paintings, tapestries and Thangka that can be seen throughout. Visit the Jokhang Temple, a spiritual center of Tibetan people. Every day, numerous Buddhists from every corner of Tibet come to burn incense to worship here. Follow the pilgrimage circuit along the ancient streets of the old town around Barkhor Bazaar and return back to hotel for overnight.
Day 03: Another Sightseeing Day in Lhasa
Today we will explore the Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery. The 17th century Potala Palace offers an awesome view of entire city and also has private quarters of the Dalai Lama, numerous grand state rooms and chapels, you are guided thought ancient chamber of the palace and get to see Tibetan art and statues, After visit Potala palace enjoy the solemnity of holy Dreprung Monastery one of the largest Monastery in Tibet which was built in 14th century used to shelter around 10,000 monks, where you can observe many nuns and monks changing and performing religious discourses, but as now there has been quite a declination resulting in only few hundreds. Tibetans' respect and belief are immensely knotted with this monastery; evening free for Shopping Here you can pick up some Tibetan Souvenir for you and some gifts for your loved ones.
Day 04: Drive Lhasa - Gyantse (3950m). 216 km today we will drive from Lhasa to Gyantse on the friendship highway, through the stunning views of the glaciers just few hundred meters away from the road, lakes at very high altitude, High Mountain passes, beautiful Tibetan villages and colorful slopes of the Tibetan hills. Our overnight accommodation is at the Gyantse Hotel.
Day 05: Sightseeing & Drive Gyantse - Shigatse (3900m) 90km today before leaving gyantse we will visit Gyantse Dzong and Gyantse Kumbum. Gyantse Dzong is a 14th century Tibetan fort from where we can observe the stunning view of the Gyantse town. Gyantse Kumbum has a large gold-domed stupa and houses, several chapels and Tibetan Buddhist murals. After exploring Gyantse we will drive to Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet which is about 90 Km away from Lhasa. Here we will visit the largest operating monastery in Tibet- the Tashilhunpo Monastery and explore the local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Shigatse-Sakya-Shegar/Dingri(4350 m)
Today we arrive at Dingri, a windblown settlement and the gateway to Mt. Everest where we meet our Nepali Sherpa staffs. En route visit Sakya Monastery. Camp.
Day 07: Trekking to EBC (Everest Base Camp)
The next 5 days we trek from the Dingri plains (14,400 ft) to all the way up to Dza Rongbuk Monastery (16,350 ft) and Everest Base Camp at 16,900 ft. We begin our trek along Ra Chhu stream to beyond Chholling and past the village of Lungjhang (14,900 ft). Overnight Camp.
Day 08: We continue our trek and pass through a small goat or Drokpa encampment and camp below Lamna La (15,600 ft).
Day 09: We climb over Lamna La (16,900 ft) with Gyachung Kang and Cho Oyu off to the south; and descend to Zommug, at 15,700 ft the highest permanent settlement in the Everest region. Zommug is a center for animal husbandry and a supply center for yaks used on Everest expeditions. Overnight Camp.
Day 10: Back to Rongbuk
To the south of Zommug is the famed Dza Rongbuk Monastery reached by either a spectacular high route or an easier low path. Once a flourishing retreat center, it is built by Dzatrul Ngawang Tenzin Norbu in early 1901-02. The majestic Everest stands towering high above in full glare.
Day 11: Everest Base Camp
Everest Base Camp (16,900 ft) and the Rongbuk Glacier are approximately 2-3 hrs above the monastery. The route passes retreat caves, the ruins of the nunnery of Sherab Chholing and the fast flowing Dzaka Chu. Just before the terminus of the Rongbuk Glacier is Everest Base Camp. Across a creek, is the ocean of ice that composes the Rongbuk Glacier, with views of the Himalayan range that are among the most spectacular ever. O/N Camp.
Day 12: Leaving Dza Rongbuk, we drive through the village of Chhosang, Phadrukchi, over Pang La, across Phung Chhu or Arun River, and into Dingri. O/N Camp/GH.
Day 13: Dingri-Zhangmu
From the Dingri plain we drive across the high Tibetan plateau to the trade post town of Nylam and onto Zhangmu, the border town. En route visit Milarepa Cave where Tibet's greatest yogi of the 11th century Milarepa meditated. O/N Zhangmu Hotel.
Day 14: Zhangmu-Kathmandu
A few kilometers drive from Zhangmu will take you to the friendship bridge on the Bhotekoshi River, which separates Tibet from Nepal. You will drive through the lush greenery of Nepalese countryside for five hours to reach Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel.

Single supplement will be provided on request it cost US$ 190 single supplement fee.
