This was a very good trek with a professional guide. Everything was arranged in a perfect Way. The guesthouses were very nice with very good view. The guide always know the way to go and which guesthouses to stay in.

I have done one trek in Nepal from the 06th of March to the 10th of March. Unfortunately my stay was very short. I've contacted a local guide company, " Above The Himalaya Trekking". The guy, Puru, provide me a good proposition.
From Pokhara to Ghorepani; then Poon Hill to Chomrong (a very tough day); chomrong to Dampus. (average of 9hrs/day of walk)

The view at Poon Hill was wonderfull, nobody has to missed it!
Near chomrong we went to some hot spring pool near a mountain river; it was amazing.
The accomodation were clean and simple. The sanitary were quiet rough. No need to carry to many stuff with you, in village you can find everything (water, toilet paper soap battery
Food was great, and without any limitation (included in the price),try the french fries!
Everything was organised by the guide company. We had with us 1 guide and 1 porter, both speaking english, and knowing well the region. They were very flexible and organised.
I warmly recommand this people. I got a very fast answer when I was looking for a trek in such a short time, and price was reasonnable. They organised also the flight between KTM to POKHARA and the TREKKING PERMIT was ready when we arrive.

In december 2008 I have done a trekking in Nepal (Lukla - Kalapattar - Chola Pass - Gokyo).
Being a single female traveller I have been very careful in selecting a porterguide to acompany me during this trek. I booked Purna Karki through Above the Himalaya Trekking and I couldn't have made a better choice.

Purna is a very kind, respectful and honest person who speaks and understands good english. During the trek he took care of everything necessary and was a true addition to the experience. Being from the area he gave me lots of information and knew so many people along the route. I found it much easier to get in touch with the local people with Purna by my side, and there hasn't been a moment that I didn't feel safe. Besides that, Purna has a very pleasant personality and is very funny to be around. I could truly recommend Purna to any single female traveller, but also to groups. All guesthouse owners, and other trekkers and porters/guides we met along the way enjoyed his company.

I planned my personalised trek together with Puru in the office in Thamel. Puru Timalsena arranged everything with great care and with an eye for detail. I think the company is professional and offers fair prices. Puru supplied my guide with a medical kit and insurance, and Purna had very good equipment (shoes, clothes, crampons etc.).

.We had a great trek. Sam the guide was really good and very patient with us all, especially my parents who are older and were a lot slower. There were about a million stairs on the first day (it seems) but we all got there finally. We had fantastic mountain views from Chisapani in the morning. The food was amazing and really delicious at the lodgings. Basu and Hem were our porters and they were fantastic as well. They were always very helpful and very friendly. We would recommend both Sam, our excellent guide and both our porters to anyone else
We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend the trek to anyone. As my parents say (who are 61 and 65yrs old), if they can do it, anyone can. Our young children also managed extremely well on the trek. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful experience for us all. We really enjoyed our time.

The Annapurna Circuit Trekking was fantastic, although the trek is very tough. But we had the support of our wonderful guide Shyam and our 2 porters. I just came back from Gokyo lake Chola pass Everest Base Camp trekking. This was a wonderful trip. An excellent guide (Ramesh). The trek itself was quite tough, but enjoyable. With lot of assistance from gudie,I could do mos of the things that I wanted.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and recommend a superb travel agent in Kathmandu who recently arranged a full three week travel itinerary for me and a friend travelling across Nepal .

Puru Timalsena is the Managing Director of Above the Himalaya Trekking Ltd. based in Kathmandu . Puru arranged a full three week travel plan for me and a friend in early 2008. He consulted us in great detail over MSN and phone to ensure our 3 week holiday was planned exactly how we wanted it.

Our three weeks began with an 8 day trek in the Everest region Puru arranged all our travel details and flights and even met us for dinner in Kathmandu on our 1st night to ensure we had all the necessary details and to introduce us to our guide. Our guide Krishna was superb, perfect English and great local knowledge. Our trek was superb, accommodation was spot on and we completed a fantastic 8 day trek getting some great views of Everest and a superb taste of real Nepalese culture.

Puru again met us on our return to Kathmandu and got us prepared for our next trip which was a three night visit to Chitwan National Park . Again Puru arranged all our flightsm, transfers and accommodation at the fantastic Tiger Top Resort in Chitwan.

The resort was great and Puru even managed to get us a big discount on the hotels normal rates. Safari was very good and we had the opportunity to see many Rhinos and other local animals.

Next we made our way to Pokhara, again Puru arranged a private car transfer which ran perfectly and arranged two days of activities in Pokhara including Paragliding over the mountains which left us breathless. Puru even phoned us each evening to ensure everything was going to plan!

Our final stop before heading back to Kathmandu was a three day visit to the ?Last Resort?. Again Puru arranged all our travel arrangements and set up two great days white water rafting, Canyoning and bungee jumping. Three great days which ran exactly to plan.

Finally we finished the trip with a few days sight seeing in Kathmandu . Puru advised us on the best things to see and helped us to travel around the City.

With so many travel agents to choose from it can be very difficult to know who you can trust but Puru went the extra mile on every occasion to ensure our trip ran perfectly and I cannot recommend him enough if you are looking for help planning a trip to Nepal . Very reasonable prices to saving us money that we would not have saved if we booked direct.

We have had a fantastic three week trek to base camp. Our Guide and porter. Keshab Thapa and Gokarna Timalsena have been excellent and very attentive looking after us. Keshab is a very good guide and thought us allot about Nepali culture. Gokarna was a brilliant porter. We think he will make an excellent guide in future.
The level of service from both Keshab and Gokarna was superb. They were available ot all ways to help us with anything we needed, and both were thoughtful about anything we might require, water food showers. Keshab?s knowledge of the area and the lodges meant that we were always happy with our accommodation. He took care to visit places which were comfortable and had home stay feel. Both Keshab and Gokarna have the qualities to be excellent guide and porter and to give all their clients a wonderful trekking experience.
We have both made two very good friends in Nepal in Keshab and Gokarna and we highly recommend a company.

I had a great trek to Everest Base Camp. With good weather, beautiful views and a nice hike. I met up with my guide in Lukla what turned out really good.
At first I was a bit cautious but the company arranged everything really good. An experience never to forget.

Although I haven?t done an other trekking, I would really recommend the Everest trek, amazing all the high peaks you can see from Kalapatthar. Standing on 5500m with this 8 km tops surrounding make you feel very small. And walking to Base Camp is really special!!! The place was it ends for us, but begins the real guys.
In short, an experience for life.
