Here, mountains rise shinning towards the sky. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primula. This is an 8 days trekking and 1-rest day. It is a combine camping and home stay and lodge package. The are a is north of Kathmandu. The journey to the trail head (and back to Kathmandu) takes about a whole day. You will make an interesting trek through Thamang area. They are descendants from Tibet and have hardly seen any tourists. There culture is virtually untouched. There are still bears, leopards, red panda’s and musk deer that however are no danger. In March and April the Rhododendron forests have many different species of trees, birds and butterflies While trekking you can discover the rough history of the Tibetan ancestors. Their descendants are now Buddhists and living on agriculture and trade. They dress colorful and their houses are adorned with beautiful woodcarvings. The views of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains will be unforgettable.

Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel

Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1460m), By jeep or local bus, which will take around 12 hours. Overnight in guesthouses

Day 4: Syaprubeshi to goljung (1960m), Walking takes around 5 hours overnight camping.

Day 5: Goljung to Gatlang (2240m),Walk about 4 hours

Day 6: Gatlang to Tatopani (2240m), The day we have to walk quite long (about 6 hours)

Day 7: Totopani to Nagthali / Thuman (2000m), Around 6 hours walking. Camping overnight .

Day 8: Thuman to Rasuwagadhi (2240m), About 7 hours of walking camping.

Day 9: Rasuwagadhi to Briddim (2290m) Walking around 6 hours.

Day 10: Rest and exploring day in Briddim.

Day 11: Briddim to Syabrubeshi, Walking around 4 hours.

Day 12: Syaprubeshi to Kathmandu by local bus

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu, Evening joing Nepali diner with cultural show, hotel

Day 14: Final departure , transfer to airport.

Price For The Trip:

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
