The Sera Monastery is one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa, sit at the foothills of Tatipu. It is as prestigious as Drepung and Ganden, which both have longer histories. Sera, in Tibetan, means "Wild Rose Garden" since opulent wild rose woods once grew around it. The Sera monastery was completed in 1419. The Monastery is erected grandly at a mountain slope with a colorful architecture. Sera Monastery together with Ganden Monastery and Drepung Monastery in Lhasa are known as the Three Great.

Sera is designed around a Main Assembly Hall, which is the grandest hall of Sera, occupying a floor space of 1,000 square meters. The four-storied hall has four chapels in which Arhats, Manjushri, Tsong Khapa, and Chenrezi are enshrined. Later, a huge Maitreya was enshrined in the hall during the reign of the Seventh Dalai Lama. The valuable Buddhist sutras that Jamchen Chojey brought back from Beijing are kept in a sutra pigeonhole adjacent to the hall.

Day 01:Arrive in Lhasa (3650 m/11972ft)
The Starting day of the Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour, you will arrive Lhasa via Nepal or mainland China. If you choose to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa you will have 1 hour 10 minutes Trans-Himalayan flight which is considered one of the most beautiful air routes in the world. the flights provides you the magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m) and other Himalayan peaks., You will be met at Gonggar Airport by your Tibetan guide. After immigration formalities, you will be driven to Lhasa (3650 meters). It takes around 45 minutes to reach the old city. After checking in at your hotel, you will reach Lhasa. It's advisable to rest and take it easy for the remainder of the day due to Lhasa's altitude. Overnight in Lhasa

Day 02 Morning Visit Potala a place as one of the wonders of eastern architecture. Afternoon the lunch Visit Jokong. Jokong is the most revered religions structure in Tibet.

Day 03Morning Drepung monastery and after Lunch Norbu Linkha, Traditional Tibetan Medicine Centre and market shopping. If you like to see Tibetan home than you can see them.

Day 04Morning you Visit Sera Monastery and there are 3 College, Sear Je college, Sera Negger college and Sera Me. after the Lunch you should joints with Monks debating and practice.

Day 05Drive to Airport and good bye to holy city and fly to Kathmandu or other destination.
