Phaplu to Everet Base Camp Trekking
Phaplu Everest Base Camp Trek is popular for its Sherpa villages, monasteries and culture, fabulous sceneries and social life of Sherpa villages are another attraction of this region. Phaplu Everest Gokyo is breathtaking and requires a good walking experience and a good physical health condition. To avoid the long bus drive to the original trailhead of Jiri we fly into Phaplu to begin our trek through the much quieter Solu region of the Solu-Khumbu... We cross the Trakshindo La before descending towards the raging river of the Dudh Kosi. We follow the "milk river" north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest trail below Lukla. The route passes through Lush valleys with abundant flora and fauna,spectacular forests of blooming rhododendron in March April, blue pine and fir. Past friendly Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar , Tengboche Buddhist Monastery, Khunde Khumjung. and far above the tree line towards the earth’s highest mountains. on your walking you will be rewarded with breath taking views of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8152m, Lhotse 8516m, Thamserku (6506m), Makalu 8463m and Ama Dablam 6456m, Kantega and may more mountains.

Phaplu Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary:
Day 1:Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2:Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.
Day 3:Early morning fly to Phaplu (2600m).
Day 4:Trek to Ringmu (2800m).
Day 5:Ringmu to Kharikhola: From Ringmu the descend continues to Dudh Koshi (Milk river) the largest river on the trek. Then ascend through severeal Sherpa and Rai villages. Terraced fields and forest to the spread out village of Khari-Khola
Day 6:KhariKhola to Puiyan: The path ascends through Sherpa villages and a forest inhabited by monkeys, and then winds steeply up and down through the Dudh Koshi canyan to Puiyan.
Day 7:Puiyan to Phakding: The trail climbs for about an hour after Puiyan to a ridge at 2800m. Then up to another ridge. Passing the path to Lukla airport, after which we climb on to Phakding.
Day 8:Phakding to Namche (3,440m): Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes a waterfall. All day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m).
Day 9:Acclimatization day in Namche. Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short days hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore the sherpa culture of Namche.
Day 10:Namche to Tengboche (3,867m): after walking one hour you arrive in phungithanga from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche sits on a saddle at 3870m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the Bhuddist Monastry at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.
Day 11:Tengboche to Pheriche: Beyond Tengboche the altitude really starts to tell. The trail droops down to Dingboche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past superb mani stones ( carved with the Tibetan Buddhist chant om mani padme hum) to Pangboche at 3860m The gompa here is worth visiting. Then the trail start climbs to Pheriche 4240m. Where there is a medical facility, which gives lectures everyday on Altitude Sickness.
Day 12:Pheriche to Lobuche - The trail climbs to Phalang karpo at 4340m then Duglha at 4620m,From Dughla the trail ascends the broad, gently slopping valley and climb steeply in to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier then left in to the memorial area Chukpilhara, before reaching the Lobuche at 4930m
Day 13:Lobuche to Gorakshep. The trail from Lobuche follows the grassy ablation valley with great views of Pumori then crosses tributary glaciers to reach the dry lake bed of Gokrakchep. Stop for lunch then climb Kalapattar to get the best views of Everest and the surrounding mountains, then and back to Gorakshep for the evening.
Day 14:Gorekshep to Everest Base Camp back to Lobuche - Early morning we walk to Everest Base Camp, visit base camp area and work down to Lobuche.
Day 15:Lobuche to pangboche - Staying the night at pangboche, makes an interesting accommodation alternative.
Day 16:Pangboche to Khumjung Village (3,789m) We walk down to the river then start hiking up to Khumjung village. Many trekkers enjoy like this Khumjung village as there is a very beautiful community of Sherpas.
Day 17:Kumjung to Monzo: From Kumjung it is a short hike to Namche Bazaar. We will stop and give you time to make any final souvenier purchases before continuing on down the hill to Monzo.
Day 18:Monzo to Lukla : Even though we are going down the valley the trek has a final sting for us. We must hike up a hill to get to Lukla. Last day of the trek in a bustling town enjoy dinner with Your Trekking crew.
Day 19:Flight from Lukla to KTM, transfer to hotel
Day 20:Kathmandu free day, evening culture show with Nepali dinner.
Day 21:Final departure, transfer to airport

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses.
