Nepal Overland tour

GorkhaNepal Overland Tour covers almost all the major places of interest in Nepal. This tour begins in Kathmandu with a sightseeing of famous temples and Stupas. We will visit Nepal’s ancient historical town Gorkha, which is the birth place of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the Great the founder of modern Nepal. Gorkha is situated on a hill surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Himalayas. Similarly we will visit a Bandipur a pleasant and charming hill town which offers a magnificent view of the central Nepal Himalayas and the Marshyangdi valley. It is ideal spot for travelers to take a lunch break, stretch the body with a refreshing swim or simply gaze at the enchanting mountain views and Nepal popular tourist destination Pokhara. On the way back visit Daman which provides a 360 degree of panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorjelakpa, Gaurishankar, Cho You and more. This tour follows the most of the popular hill stations of Nepal and ancient historical town also.

 

Nepal Overland Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay

Day 3: Drive to Gorkha then sightseeing in Gorkha City:
Gorkha is the birth places of King Prithvi Narayan Shah- the Great, the founder of modern Nepal. Gorkha is situated on a hill looking out to the snowy peaks of the Himalaya. The main attraction at Gorkha is the16th century royal palace. Also of interest is the temple of the most powerful and popular God, Kalika. This is decorated with ancient art and architecture. Three mountains ranges, the Manaslu, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal which include more than 40 mountains, surround the area. Here you can see the culture of the western ethnic groups.

Day 4: Morning Hiking up to Gorkha Durbar (16 century Royal place) and Gorkha Hindus Temple then drive to Bandipur, a pleasant and charming hill town which offers a magnificent view of the central Nepal Himalayas and the Marshyangdi valley. It is ideal spot for travelers to take a lunch break, stretch the body with a refreshing swim or simply gaze at the enchanting mountain views.

Day 5: After breakfast we will drive to Pokhara. Check in to the hotel. Leave for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Today we will visit Bindabasini Temple, Seti George Davis Falls, Mahendra Caves and boating on Phewa Lake.
During the evening you will have time to explore and experience the night life of Pokhara, and try one of the many excellent restaurants available here.

Day 6: Early morning drive to Sarangkot to see Sunrise over the Himalayan Peaks, Sarangkot provides one of the best sunrise view and best Himalayan and country side view. Trek down to Pokhara and stay at hotel.

Day 7: Today we will drive to Daman. Situated at a height of 2100m/7500ft. above sea level, Daman is known for it’s vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks such as Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorjelakpa, Gaurishankar, Cho You etc. There is a view tower from where one can have a panoramic view of 300 miles of the Himalayan range. Over night stay at hotel.

Day 8: After you have had your breakfast we will drive to Nagarkot.
Nagarkot is a beautiful hill station from where the major Himalayan range can be viewed. It is also famous for spectacular Sunrise and Sunset views. After a sunset tour you will stay at a hotel in Nagarkot.

Day 9: An early rise will allow you to enjoy watching the sun rise over the Himalaya. Following this you can have breakfast and we will then drive to Kathmandu.
We will have a half day sightseeing tour of Chapagaoun, Bungmati & Khokana village. Khokana and Bungamati are ancient Newari villages (16th century). The people in Khokana are involved in the traditional oil making which is the main attraction of the village, and the people in Bungamati demonstrate traditional wood carving. Here we will enjoy a cultural show along with dinner. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 10: After breakfast we will transfer you to the airport for your departure
