India Markha Valley Tour
Since 1974, when Ladakh first became accessible to foreign visitors, this high and arid region has captured the imagination of adventure travelers. This itinerary between Ladakh and Zanskar offers a large diversity of landscapes, from the jagged Kongmaru La pass (5000 m) to the green oasis of the Markha valley with breath-taking views on the Korakoram snow-capped peaks. Many scattered high villages, each with irrigated fields of barley and potatoes, add color to this otherwise quite barren environment, and provide the chance to meet the Ladakh peasants in the simplicity of their daily life. Markha will be an opportunity to visit the old monastery, famous for its paintings.

Day 04: Trek to Pringhitila - Wanla, camp
Day 05: Trek to Hinju, camp
Day 06: Trek Kungski La - Sumndha Chemno, camp
Day 07: Trek to camp before the Dungdungchen La, camp
Day 08: Trek to Pass - Chilling , camp
Day 09: Trek to Skiu, camp
Day 10: Trek to Markha, camp
Day 11: Trek to Hanker, camp
Day 12: Trek to Nimaling
Day 13: Trek to Kongmaru La - Shang Sumdo, camp
Day 14: Trek to Hemis Day 15 Trek to Thiksey - Shey and drive to Leh, hotel
