Mardi Himal TrekThis Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhare Trekking is one of the exotic and interesting treks in Nepal, This trek offers an opportunity to explore traditional villages, incredible scenery, infinite and diversity of culture, spectacular views of livery mountains and tempting views of River and you can see the exotic valley on the way of trekking trail. The emphasis of the treks is on the forest and wilderness zone of these mountains.

This trek takes you in to one of the most untouched areas of Himalayas. Some villages are visited on the last days of the trek and thes e receive few visitors and regain much of their traditional charm. This trail is totally non touristic and some time difficult to find the way. You can see watchfull eyes of Shepherd. Mardi Himal treks takes away from the tea houses trails and takes you through a forests and villages.

Mardi Himal Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m. Drive by private bus/ van or take a flight. If drive it will be about 6 to 7 hour drive to Pokhara with a scenic Prithvi High way and if by flight it will be 25 minutes flight with majestic view of high Himalayas. Overnight in a Hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara to Dhampus 1600m: 30 minute drive 2 and half hour work.After break fast drive to Phedi via Tibetan camp and steep climb up to Dhampus village one of the big Gurung village Spectacular panoramic views of Annapurna Himalayan range.. Overnight in a camp with a full view of Annapurna Ranges.

Day 05: Dhampus to Forest Camp 2480m, 6 hour works: Today Trek enter an enchanted forest of birch, giant rhododendron, mountain oak, maple, hemlock and daphnia, camping in a small clearing far from the beaten trail overnight in a camp.

Day 06: Forest Camp to Low Camp 3150m, 5 hrs work. As we climb, the flora has turned to classic 'cloud forest' with mosses and lichen, tree ferns and orchids hosted by the hardier trees. Now and then, there are windows in the woods that look out onto thrilling panorama – towards Himchuli, Annapurna South and we have spectacular northerly views of the ever-closer 'Fishtail'

Day 07: Low Camp to High Camp 4100m, 4hrs work: Have an early breakfast and we start trekking to reach our highest point of the trek, if conditions are favorable, up to 15,000 /16,000 ft. In the afternoon we return to our camp. If the weather is clear, the view today will never be forgotten. Overnight in camp.

Day 08 : Rest day at high camp you can make a day hiking over there having a good view. Overnight at camp 4100m.

Day 09: High Camp to Siding Village 1280m. After breakfast, Today journey start an unhurried descent through the shade of the forest, and out onto terraced fields, down 1,600 m. This is a different route down –to the upper Mardi Khola. Here, as we make our way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hill-side village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, past the simple farms and over the 'interesting' bridges, there is no doubting this is indeed the idyllic Nepali countryside. Overnight at camp.

Day 10: Siding Village to Pokhara. After a short walk now the trail skirts an outcrop – there’s the road, there's our transport, and soon we're back in Pokhara for our last lunch.

Day 11: Fly or drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 12: Final departure, transfer to airport.

Price For The Trip:

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
