Kali Gandaki River Rafting
Kali Gandaki River is the holiest rafting river in Nepal. Rushes through steep canyons and deep gorges offering wonderful mountain views. The 3 days rafting offers an intense workout along the way. It combines both technical and fun rafting, making it a popular choice for beginners and the more experienced.
Kaligandaki River begins its journey from high on the Tibetan Plateau in Mustang. Plunging its way down through the Himalayas, the river carves the deepest gorge in the world between the two 800m peaks Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The Kalli Gandaki was first opened to commercial use in 1991. The journey descends through challenging white water, unique cultures and amazing beaches. When not negotiation rapids, time on the river can be spend under cascading waterfalls and enjoying the backdrop of the Annapurna Himalayan ranges. Both experienced and novice rafters will love it. Being one of the holiest rivers in Nepal, every river junction of the Kali Gandaki is dotted with cremation site and above ground burial mounds

Rafting Itinerary
Day 01We travel by private bust to Baglung to start our adventure. Keep your cameras handy as you will catch views of the Annpurnas as we wind through mountain villages on the way. The 3 hours journey gets us to Baglung by lunch time where we fill you up with the first of many healthy and tasty meals prepared by the cooks. We pride ourselves of being obsessed with the quality and variety of the food we provide. After lunch it is straight in toe the great 4 rapid Little brother followed quickly by big brother. If you had any doubts you have no time to think about them now! It is grade 4 to 4+ all the way! The scenery is impressive with blue green water, high sided lush green valleys and golden sandstone cliffs with eagle reading the updrafts. On the left, pass fascinating temple and ghat at the river of confluence with the modikhola. To night we camp at one of the nature’s five stat sites with mind blowing views and dancing waterfalls.
Day 02:Today is continuous grade 3 to 4 world class white water rapids like Rafters’ Refund and landslide. Wave trains and holes abound early in the day so watch out if you watch out if you want to flip! Adrenaline junkies knock your self out but don’t forget to keep glancing back stream to catch view of the amazing Annapurnas. Once camped, the village of Seti Beni is just a short walk up stream and guarantees to delight with its stone flagged lanes and curious youngsters skylarking.
Day 03:As we continue down stream, the river cliffs narrow eerily above us and we enter a somber canyon glistering with wet black rocks. You experience what can only be seen from the water. Os drink it all in as we drift towards out take out point, then after having a lunch we drive back to Pokhara by out private bus.
Price For The Trip:
The total cost for the trip you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
