How Long and When to Trekking
Most of travelers think to do a trekking in Nepal needed more days and need to be totally fit. Nepal has all sort of trekking to cater needs of every travelers, Trekking in Nepal can be a short 2 to 3 days to a long 30 days can be done. Though most of the best treks are 10 to 20 days, you can add few days for Kathmandu historical tour, visit to Pokhara one of the best place in Nepal and can add jungle safari adventure in Chitwan and 1,2 days white water rafting.
How Long Trekking:
Less than a week (2 to 4 days trekking)
2 to 4 days short treks takes you through terraced hillsides, charming slate roofed villages inhabited by friendly local community, dense moss rhododendron forests, beautiful waterfalls with magnificent view of snow capped mountains. There is plenty of opportunities to see the spectral mountain scenery from the lower altitude also, trek to Kathmandu valley, Annapurna Ghandruk loop, Village trekking near Kathmandu and Pokhara can be done in this short period
One Week trekking

Two Week trekking
This Moderate Treks is more difficult than easy and leisure trek and are suitable for any walker looking for something a little more energetic. This Moderate trek are longer (10-20 days), involve more walking up and down and climb to higher altitudes, where you will be rewarded with close-up views of big mountains For a well-trodden route with good tea-house facilities, Annapurna Base camp, Best Everest View Trekking, Gokyo Lake, Langtang valley trekking and Jomsom Muktinath trekking can be chooses, for the camping trek Upper Mustang trek is ideal
Three Week Trekking
These treks ascend to altitudes of up to 500m and involve some steep climbing, For a popular and spectacular trek, with the possibility of staying in well-developed tea houses, the Annapurna circuit is a good choice. A gradual ascent through a green river alley will, with good tea house facilities, is the Everest Base camp. When to Trekking:
The autumn – September to November
This is the best trekking season in Nepal and officering excellent weather and outstanding mountain views. The weather is very pleasant and clear and the mountain views are the best. Early October through to late November is the busiest period for trekking and all the guest houses are fully booked.

It usually does not rain for more than one or two days during the entire autumn season and days are comfortable and in the evening are cool in Kathmandu and Pokhara recommended light warm clothing.
The spring (The rhododendron season) March April May
This is the second finest trekking season and less crowded on the trekking trail. The temperature is quite moderate; especially the rhododendrons are in complete blossom and the mountain views are excellent. The temperatures are mildly warm in the lowlands and little cold at higher altitudes and the sky is clear and the mountain views are best
The summer - June July August
This is the most preferable season to trek in the rain shadow areas like Mustang, Upper Manang and Dolpo, Simikot. These places are out of reach of the rain clouds because of the huge mountains and are unaffected by the monsoon. This season is also recommended for forest researchers and botanist. Like wise Tibet high arid plateaus are ideal for summer trekking, The Annapurna regions Jomsom part also significantly less rain areas and short trek in this areas are recommended
The advantages of summer trekking is you will find the trekking trails and villages have few trekkers and you can enjoy the solitude and beauty of the mountains without any crowds
The winter - December to Mid February
The weather is cool and the sky is clear with occasional snowfalls at higher elevations, the air is tinkling sharp and the stars have that crystal twinkle. This season is best for trekking in lower elevations generally below 3200m. The weather is at its finest and direst, great condition, in the mornings and nights are cold but daytime temperatures are mild when it is sunny. Low altitude trek to Annapurna region, Langtang Helambu region, Everest region and village tours. Even Everest base camp can be organized in winter.
