Ganesh Himal trekking area lies on the central eastern region of Nepal and knows as a Tamang cultural tour trekking. Ganesh Himal Trekking offers spectaculars views, untouched natural splendor, wild and friendly inhabitants, The high valleys north of the Ganesh range on the Tibetan border are the complete wilderness and away from much of the trekkers.
Ganesh Himal Trekking is one of the legendry “ Hidden Valleys " of the Himalayas , guarded by 3 tiered pagoda set on a rocky steep sided gorge to pine forest and alpine meadows leading to a huge glacier below the snow capped peaks
During the Ganesh Himal Trekking you can observe the different ways of life culture and able to contact with rural people in the small villages, The trail starts from Trishuli following the upper valley landscapes. You will be witnessing the panoramic views of many majestic mountains, not tiring to see the smiling faces of native people from the villages and sometimes walking by the bank of rivers in continuation of the trail. You will have the opportunities to visit the inhabitants of these areas, who live in flat roofed fortress-like village in this remote village. The journey around these legendry mountains is among the most enjoyable though tough.
Ganesh Himal Trekking Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNISCO world heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.
Day 3: Trishuli - Salangkhu Khola - We drive to Trishuli in the morning and have a lunch over there. After lunch we walk for about 3 hours to Salangkhu Khola and camp.
Day 4: Salangkhu Khola- Balche Village - An easy walk and then short climb takes us to kalawale village fro lunch. After lunch we proceed to the big Tamang village of Balche for our overnight camp.
Day 5: Balche Village – Gonga - We take an easy walk from Balche village through a forest and camp with the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Gosainkunda in good view.
Day 6: We walk through rhododendron forests to camp either at Rupchet, a cattle pasture, or up on the Singla pass (4600m) Thje singla pass offers spectacular views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Baudha Peak, Himal chuli.Machhapuchare, Annapurna South and Annapurna II.
Day 7: Serthung Village- laba - A short flat trail and then a gradual descent, passing through Barang village and then crossing the Akhu Khola takes us to Laba, a big Tamang Village.
Day 8: Laba- Mongeythanti - We climb gently over a hill and then descend through forests to camp at Mongeythanti.
Day 9: Mongethanti- Dumchet Village - A gradual walk down through forests with lunch by a stream brings us to our camp at Dumchet village.
Day 10: Dumchet Village- Budiganga - We take a gradual walk today to Baseri and camp near by the Budigandaki River.
Day 11: Budigandaki- Arughat bazaar - We walk along the bank of Budhigandaki River and stop at Arughat bazaar for the night.
Day 12: Arughat Bazaar- Khanchwok Danda - We gradually climb the Khanchwok Danda crossing the Mukti Khola and camp for the night.
Day 13: Khanchowk Danda- Gorkha - We cross a ridge today and walk gradually up hill to Gorkha, camping near the old palace.
Day 14: Gorkha – Kathmandu - We have a tour of Gorkha palace, the palace of the King Prithivi Narayan Shah, who united Nepal in 1881 A D and visit the Bazaar, before driving back to Kathmandu.
Day 15: Kathmandu free day, evening join Nepali cultural dinner, hotel
Day 16: Final departure, transfer to airport.
Price For The Trip:
The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
