This tour has been programmed to give you all the highlights Darjeeling and Sikkim the 'Queen of Hills" in a limited period of time. You can experience the mountains, the flora and fauna and the cultural heritage of this former Himalayan Kingdom. After visiting the charming tea gardens and a dawn visit atop Tiger Hill we will drive through the lush Teesta valley to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim. Walk through the fascinating bazaar full of local products and produce in Gangtok. You can visit Rumtek Monastery which is the present seat of the famous Karmapa Lama of the 'Black Hat' Kaygu sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
Tour Itenieary
Day 01: Arrival in Darjeeling Transfer to Darjeeling . Overnight in hotel
Day 02: full day in Darjeeling Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak . The view is spectacular on a clear weather day.On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop . Afternoon visit to Rock Garden & Ganga Maya Lake Overnight in hotel
Day 03: Another day in Darjeeling Today, visit to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight in hotel
Day 04: Darjeeling to Gangtok Drive to Gangtok (after breakfast, 110 kms / 0 4 hrs). Overnight in hotel
Day 05: Full day in Gangtok Take an excursion to Tshangu Lake (12400 ft). Overnight in hotel
Day 06: Another day in Gangtok Go for a day sightseeing covering Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Chorten and Orchid Sanctuary and world famous Rumtek Monastery. Overnight in hotel
Day 07: Gangtok to Kathmandu Drive to Bhadrapur for flight to Kathmandu
