Everest HikingThe Mount Everest region is one of the most popular trekking and hiking areas in Nepal - tinged with the romance of being so close to the highest mountain in the world. The route lies in the highest wildlife reserve in the World, The Sagarmatha National park is rich with flora and fauna. But the existence of the Yeti remains a mystery. This hiking offers an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence with the breathtaking views of the world highest mountain along with the worlds other three highest mountains.

We follow the Dudh Koshi the "milk river" north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest hiking trail below Lukla. The route passes through Lush valleys with abundant flora and fauna, spectacular forests of blooming rhododendron in March April, blue pine and fir. Past friendly Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar , Tengboche Buddhist Monastery, Khunde Khumjung. And far above the tree line towards the earth’s highest mountains. on your walking you will be rewarded with breath taking views of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8152m, Lhotse 8516m, Thamserku (6506m), Makalu 8463m and Ama Dablam 6456m, Kantega and may more mountains.

Itinerary for Everest Hiking

Day 01: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

Day 02:Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.

Day 3:Flight from KTM – Lukla. Trek to Phakding (2,652m). After having a 35 minutes flight to lulkla you start your trek and following a gentle climb up the mountain side on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. One the way you will have a view of Kusum Kangaru, Mt Kwondge and you will pass a few tea houses and Mani walls. Overnight in Phakding.

Day 04:

Phakding to Namche (3,440m) - Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes a waterfall. All day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m).

Day 05:Acclimatization day in Namche. Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short day’s hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore the Sherpa culture of Namche.

Day 06: Namche to Tengboche (3,867m): after walking one hour you arrive in phungithanga from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche sits on a saddle at 3870m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the Bhuddist Monastry at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.

Day 07:Tengboche to Khumjung Village (3,789m) we walk down to the river then start hiking up to Khumjung village. Many trekkers enjoy like this Khumjung village as there is a very beautiful community of Sherpas.

Day 08: Khumjung to Monjo (2,835m) you can have a pleasant walk via the Everest View Hotel and the Shyangboche airstrip before dropping into Namche, a color full center of Sherpa community, After having a lunch in Namche you descend steeply and then walk along the river bank back to Jorsalle where you leave the national park before continuing on to Monjo for overnight stay. After that continue trek down to Phakding.

Day 09:Monjo to Lukla (2880m) it is a beautiful and easy walk through blue pine and rhododendron forest, back-dropped with views of Kusum Kangaru Last day of the trek in a bustling town enjoy dinner with your Trekking crew.

Day 10: Flight from Lukla to KTM, transfer to hotel

Day 11:Kathmandu free day, evening culture show with Nepali dinner, hotel

Day 12:Final departure, transfer to airport

Price For The Trip:

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
