Darjeeling Tour (4 Night/5 Days)
The Queen of the Hills and the dream land of the Eastern part of India, nestled in grandeur and beauty of towering snow-capped mountains with the Abode, the mighty Kanchenjunga, the king of the mountains, dominating the somber, snowy sentinels, lies in the jewel of the town, elegant, sophisticated and incredibly beautiful. It still attracts traditional tourist for its well touted tea gardens and the old British Raj residual charms.
In this 5 night 6 days tour, you can discover Darjeeling , Gangtok and Kalimpong, and main hill stations of the Eastern Himalayas , by the Heritage Train or by jeep. While you are in Darjeeling the places of interest to visit are Ghoom monasteries, Exotic Bazars, Tea gardens, Colonial buildings, Historical Museum , The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, The Tibetan Refugee Centre, Botanical Garden, Bhutai Busty Gompa, The Lebong Race Course, Tiger Hill, Mirik Lake , and many more.
Tour Itenieary
Day 01: Kathamandu to Martan Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur. Meet the guide at the airport and dive to Martan (180km, 05 hours). Overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Martan to Gangtok Early morning sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery-the principal seat of Karma pa out of Tibet and the largest one in Sikkim, and go to Kanchejunga View Point, Drul-Chorten , Sikkim Research Institute of Tibet logy, handicraft centers and check in hotel at Gangtok.. Evening Free to explore the Gangtok.
Day 03: Gangtok to Darjeeling Drive to Darjeeling -the British developed hill resort, producer of world famous tea. (115 kms / 04 hrs). Evening free to explore the town. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04: Full day Sightseeing of Darjeeling. Early morning tour to Tiger Hill (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over mighty Kanchenjunga . The view is splendid on clear weather day. On the way back, take a look at Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. Afternoon visit to Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight hotel.
Day 05: Darjeeling-Bhadrapur to Kathmandu. Early morning, drive to Bhadrapur (140km, 04 hrs) and take a flight to Kathmandu .
