Daman Hiking
Daman is situated 80 kilometers south- west of Kathmandu at an altitude of about 2100 meters located on the Tribhuvan Highway , in between Kathmandu and the town to Birgunj. Daman is known for its it’s vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks such as Mt. Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorjelakpa, Gaurishankar, Cho yu etc. There is a view tower from where one can have a panoramic view of 300 miles of the Himalayan range. To see a breath taking view of the world's highest peak Mt. Everest Daman is one of the best places in Nepal . There is a view tower fitted with long range telescopes to see the 360 degree Himalayas view. Getting to Daman is from Kathmandu takes 2 and half hour to 3 hour drive by car or bus. Similarly it will take about 3.5 hour drive from Chitwan National park and about 7 hour drive from another popular touristy destination Pokhara. Good facilities of hotels and cuisine of international standards one can stay overnight in Daman with full pleasure.
Hiking Itinerary Details:
Day 01: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.
Day 3: After breakfast drive to Daman by Tourist coach or private car. After lunch excursion in to Daman and enjoy a beautiful landscape and majestic views of Himalayan peaks.
Day 4: Early in the morning enjoy the Sunrise over the Himalayan Ranges . You can view the majestic range of Gaurishankar / Dorje Lakpa and many more inclucing Everest in the fairest with the great landscapes. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu .Take a 3 hours drive to Kathmandu . Free in afternoon, shopping or rest day, Evening join Nepali cultural dinner show
Day 5: Departure for next tours in Nepal or to your home

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses.
