Day 01:Arrival at Paro and, reception by our representative at the airport and drive to Thimpu. Overnight hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Thimpu:
Morning visit to colorful vegetable market; the Memorial Chorten and the National Library. After lunch visit the handmade paper factory and the school of Thangka painting. Stroll around town. Overnight hotel.

Day 03: Thimpu to Punakha and Wangdi Phodrong:
Drive to Punakha - the former capital of Bhutan. After picnic lunch by the Wangdi river continue to Wangdi Phodrong Dzong, the most picturesque in Bhutan. Overnight hotel.

Day 04: Punakha to Phubjika (Gangtey)
Excursion to serene Gangtey valley, home of the rare black-necked cranes that fly over Tibet in the winter; visit the Gangtey Monastery. Overnight hotel.

Day 05: Gangtey to Paro Via Thimpu:
Retrace the way via the Simtokha Dzong the oldest one in Bhutan. After lunch visit hospital of traditional medicine, national library and continue to Paro. Overnight hotel.

Day 06: Sightseeing of Paro.
In the morning visit the fortified tower Ta Dzong, the impressive Srukgyel Dzong ruins (monastery fortress) and Kyichu Temple of 7th century. Overnight hotel.

Day 07: Takstang Retreat:
Today you will hike up to Takstang Monastery situated in a cliff overlooking the valley. This is the highlights of your trip. You will walk back to Paro. Overnight hotel.

Day 08: Final Departure: After breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport in Paro for departure flight to Kathmandu or your onward destination.

Most hotels in Bhutan meet the recent standardization policy and are approved and classified by the government, most tourists accommodate in a 2/3 star category, All are inspected regularly and have en-suite bathrooms. Hotels and lodges become slightly more basic the further east you travel into the country. However town like Thimpu, Paro has 5 star category hotels also available and town like towns like Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang also have a variety of hotels that are comfortable. Away from town, you may find it tempting to camp outside in the forest or make a night halt at the purpose-built in cabins sprinkled along some main trekking routes. All your meals included during your stay in Bhutan. A variety of meals are available in most hotels – Most Bhutanese dishes are rich and spicy with a lot of cheese and chilli. It is advisable that visitors stick to the Chinese, Continental or Indian cuisine that is served in most restaurants. Visitors can also choose among the various vegetarian and non-veg food. You can also try out momos, the Tibetan dumplings, you may try out the ema datshi dish served with cheese and chili and other typical Bhutanese dishes.
