This trip is specially designed for the traveller who may have a tight time schedule or perhaps is cautious of high altitude treks, and yet may still want to do a small trek to experience the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal .
After a 6 hour drive, or 30 minute flight to Pokhara, you can start your journey to the Annapurna region. You will walk through the patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls, where you can stop to cool your face.You can visit Poon Hill, one of the best Himalayan view points in Nepal. Here you will see an unobstructed view of the high Himalayas.
From the picturesque villages below the mystical mountain of Machapuchare, to the lowland of Terai jungle plains, this trip is the very best combination of Trekking, Rafting, Jungle Safari, and Sightseeing, and is an excellent introduction to the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.
Beginning with a warm up trek in the Annapurna region, we will leave you at Nepal's most popular rafting River, the Trishuli, where you can enjoy your rafting adventure with our expert Rafting Guide.
Next we will travel by vehicle, and on elephant back, to the famous jungle of Chitwan National Park. Here it is possible to sight the Royal Bengal Tiger. Feeling refreshed after a nights rest in comfortable accomodation, you will return to Kathmandu. You will have free time to explore the Kathmandu sights, and do some shopping.
Itinerary Details
Day 1:
Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel
Day 2:
Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.
Day 3:
Drive to- Pokhara stay overnight,hotel
Day 4:
Pokhara to Tikhedhunga- One hour drive to Nayapul walk through the lust, green Modiriver valley. Past waterfalls with plunge pools that invite you to swim.
Day 5:
Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani: A gentle climb through pasture and cultivated fields as you climb up you walk up besides the cascading river through refreshingly cool oak and rhododendron forest.
Day 6:
Ghorepani to Tadapani: Early morning work up to Poonhil, One of the best Himalayan view points in Nepal Early morning working to the Poonhil, which provides a unobstructed view of the high Himalaya and start our trek to Tadapani, A short early morning climb to the Deurali pass for a spectacular panorama over Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna, Trail descends steeply through dense moss-covered forest rich with bird life to Tadapani which provides you a close up sunset view.
Day 7:
Tadapani to Ghandruk: working through the forest and arrive A huge Gurunbg village at 1940m is the second largest Gurung village in Nepal and explores the maze like streets of this thriving Gurung settlement, You can have a good view of Annapurna south and Fisthail. Over night in hotel.
Day 8:
Ghandruk to Pokhara, treks down to Nayapul through the cultivated fields in Modi khola valley. (4 hrs) and drive to Pokhara (1 hrs). End of the trek
Day 9:
Free day in Pokhara, you can visit Devis fall, Tibetan refugee camp, World peace stupa, Cave and boating in the lake…
Day 10:
Drive to the Charaudi rafting starting point. At the river everyone is fitted with a life jacket and helmet. Then the trip leader will give a lesson on river safety, paddling technique and what to do if you suddenly find yourself not sitting in a raft anymore. We begin rafting in languid pleasurable fashion to get the feel of the motion on a raft. The riverside scenery is exhilarating
Day 11:
At around 7:00 am in the morning tea/ coffee are ready. After a breakfast personal gears is loaded enter the raft. This is probably just as well as today we have another 4/5 hours on the water and we get to run more 3 and 3 + rapids. At Mugling the water of the Marsyangdi Tumbles in to the Trisuli increasing the volumes of the river. We stop for lunch at the confluence of the Trisuli and Marsyangdi River . After pinball rapid of Mugling the river eases a bit there are still a few challenging rapids and the scenery and the geography is very impressive. We end our last day with lunch at Simaltal or Ghaighat from here drive to Chitwan National park . Enter to the hotel and briefing about programmes and if have a time visit Elephant Breeding centre.
Day 12:
All the Activities like Elephant riding, Elephant breeding center visit, canoeing, nature walk, village visit etc.
Day 13:
Doing some more activities like bird watching... and Drive back to Kathmandu .
Day 14:
Kathmandu free day, evening culture show with Nepali dinner, hotel
Day 15:
Final departure, transfer to airport
