Trekking in Arun Valley regions is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. Arun valley is located between the Everest and Makalu trekking areas. Arun valley trek is between two highest mountains, Everest and Makalu . Arun valley trekking offers superb Himalayan scenery including the Mount Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt.Baruntse, Mt.Lhotse, Mt.Nuptse ,Mt. Amadablam, Mt.Thamserku etc , more than 650 species of birds and over 800 species of butterflies, shelter of the rare and endangered Panda. Orchids and other flowers along a faint jungle trail, swirl prayer flags at Shipton La. walking through this picturesque Sherpa village are the attraction of the Arun valley region. Arun valley trek is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture .Trekking in Arun valley provides an alternative approach to the Khumbu region trekking.
The main inhabitants of this regions are Sherpa, Rai and Limbus Walking north up the Arun river to Sedua and Num, then crossing Barun La(4110m.) into the upper Barun khola valley for a close look at Makalu. You can put together even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani col and west col into the upper Hongu valley. The highest point of this trek is Salpa Bhanjyang and also we can visit Hindu holy call Lake Salpa holy Lake (3414m).
Arun Valley trek itinerary details:
Day 1: Meet at Kathmandu Airport :
We will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel.
When you have had time to settle in and freshen up after your long flight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your programme.
During this visit we will help you check your equipment and facilitate the processing of other necessary items such as National Park Permits etc.
Days 2: sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley.
The next morning after breakfast you will leave for a tour of sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley.
You will visit the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. You will also visit Swyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple , a 2000 year old temple, On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous Durbar Square .
Day 03: Kathmandu Birtatnagar by fly about one hour and by bus to Hille overnight at Hille.
Day 04: Hille trekking to Mongmaya Khola
Day 05: Mongmaya Khola trekking to Surtibari
Day 06 : Surtibari trekking to Tumlingtar
Day 07 : TumlingTar trekking to Kartike
Day 08 : Kartike trekking to Gothey
Day 09 : Gothey trekking to Phedi
Day 10 : Phedi trekking to Gurase
Day 11 : Gurase trekking to Sanam
Day 12 : Sanam trekking to Bung
Day 13 : Bung trekking to Gaikharka
Day 14: Gaikharka trekking to Vasme
Day 15 : Vasme trekking to Pangum
Day 16 : Pagum trekking to Painya
Day 17 : Painya trekking to Lukla
Day 18 : fly back to Kathmandu
Day 19: Final Departure Airport Drop
Price For The Trip:
The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
