We trek through rhododendron and bamboo forests, as we climb towards the famous Fishtail Mountain Base Camp. From the Annapurna Base Camp we use the same route till Chomrong downstream the Midi Khola before making a worthy detour to Ghandrung, a beautiful and large Gurung village.

Annapurna Base Camp with Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek itinerary
Day 1:Meet at Kathmandu Airport: We will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel. When you have had time to settle in and freshen up after your long flight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your programme. During this visit we will help you check your equipment and facilitate the processing of other necessary items such as National Park Permits etc.
Day 02: A full days sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley: The next morning after breakfast you will leave for a full days tour of sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. You will visit the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. You will also visit Swyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, a 2000 year old temple, and visit Patan City, famous for its fine arts and and historical architecture. On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous Durbar Square , overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Flight or drive to Pokhara: After breakfast we will drive you to the Domestic Airport to take a 25 minute flight to Pokhara. During the short flight to Pokhara you will have majestic views of the glorious Manaslu peaks and the snow-capped Annapurna mountain range, as well as the Langtang Himalayan range. Our Staff will meet you at Pokhara Airport and take you to your hotel. Similarly you can drive to Pojkhara by tourist coach via scenic Prthivi highway. 6 to 7 hour drive take you to Pokhara. A boating trip on Phewa Lake will follow where you can enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalayan Range reflected in all its glory in the calm green waters of the lake and visit the temple which is only accessible by boat, overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Pokhara Trekking to Tikhedhunga (1540m): Drive by car to the Nayapul via large village of Lumle it will be about 1 hour 30 minutes drive. You will start your work from Nayapul with crossing a large and prosperous town Birethanti. Today the trekking trails follows the bamboo forests and past waterfalls with plunge pools which invite you to swim. You can have a lunch at small village Sudame. After lunch the trail climb steadily up to the Hile, after a short working you will arrive Tikhedhunga, overnight at guest house.
Day 05: Tikhe Dhunga trekking to Ghorepani (2775m): From Tikhedhunga the trail ascend to Ulleri village through a stone staircase. Ulleri is a large Magar villages situate at 2070m. From Ulleri the trail gently climb through pasture and cultivated fields as you climb up you walk up besides the cascading river through refreshingly cool oak and rhododendron forest. We have a lunch at Nangethanti. The trail again ascent to Ghorepani today final destination, The place provides a majestic views of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Peak Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m) and other mountains.
Day 06: Ghorepani trek to Poonhill (3193m) and trek to Tadapani (2540m): Early morning trek up to Poonhil, One of the best Himalayan view points in Nepal poonhill provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas . From poonhill one can enjoy spectacular view of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Peak Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Tarke Kang (7193m), Gangapurna (7454m), Lamjung Himal (6986m), Mt Fishtail ( Macchapuchre 6997m), Tent Peak and many more High Himalayas, trek down to Ghorepani after breakfast start trekking to Tadapani, A short early morning climb to the Deurali pass for a spectacular panorama over Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna, Trail descends steeply through dense moss-covered forest rich with bird life to Tadapani which provides you a close up sunset view, overnight at guest house.
Day 07: Tadapani trekking to Chhomrong (2210m): The trail drops down form Tadapani, through dense rhododendron forest. Stay at Chhomrong(2040m) towering above the villages is the mighty peak of Annapurna south, Annapurna 4 with the Fishtail facing it across the valley, overnight at guest house.
Day 08: Chhomrong trekking to Dovan (2540m): We walk through the forest of Kuldighar . The track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan , overnight at guest house.
Day 09: Dovan trekking to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m): A trek of the narrow Modi khola valley will bring you almost to the base of the M.B.C. Today we climb on past the Machhapuchhare Base Camp (which isn't really a base camp since climbing the mountain is not permitted) to the Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) . This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. From here it is a two-hour trek to Annapurna Base camp, which offers spectacular views (5:30 hrs).Here you will spend a day gazing away at the snow covered peaks above and the beauty of the landscape around, overnight at Maccapuchhre base camp in guest hosue.
Day 10: Machhapuchhare Base Camp trekking to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). (Back to Dovan) Early morning working to Annapurna Base Camp,here you stand in the century, the 360 degree views are breathtaking, Although clouds roll in early, the curtain often lifts at sunset to rival radiant, glowing peaks after having a breakfast in Annapurna Base Camp. Trek back to dovan via Machhapuchhare Base Camp.
Day 11: Dovan to Jhinu danda (1750m). Trekking back to Chhomrong via same way, from Chhomrong about an hour working take you to Jhinu Danda where you can enjoy at natural hot spring, overnight at guest house.
Day 12: Jhinu Hot Spring to Pothana (1990m): After breakfast next morning, the trail continues on to Landruk, a beautiful Gurung village which provides you an excellent view of the surrounding mountain ranges. The trail emerges in the main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha. After that we will continue on to Pothana, overnight at gust house. You will have a excellent view of Mt Fish tail ( Machhapuchhare 6697m) from here.
Day 13: Pothana to Pokhara: Today we will walk along a paved stone trail through Rhododendron forests arriving at Dhampus (1750m). This village is inhabited by a mix of people from different Nepalese cultures, Gurung, Brahman, and Magar communities. After a rest here we will walk mostly down hill through fields to the forest and on to Phedi. From Phedi there will be a 30 minute drive to Pokhara. Afternoon you can boating in phewa lake and looking around Pokhara, overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Drive or take a flight to Kathmandu. It is 25 minutes flight to Kathmandu or 6 to 7 hour drive by tourist coach, evening join Nepali cultural dinner show, overnight at hotel.
Day 15: Final Departure, we will take you to the Kathmandu Airport to catch your flight home.

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
