Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour itinerary details:

Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu Airport & Transfer to Hotel

Day 02 Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.

Day 03Kathmandu to Lhasa (3650 m): Fly (1 hr.)To Lhasa over crossing the highest Himalayan range of the world. Transfer and check- in to your hotel .full rest for acclimatization - hotel.

Day 04-05: full 2 days sight seeing Lhasa : Two full days Sight -seeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang temple, Bharkkoor Bazaar, Potala palace, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monasteres. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06: Drive to Gyantse (93km) 3950m. Overnight Gyantse: Gyantse is a small agricultural town, famous for its wool carpets and the Phalkor Choide Chorten. Between a monastery and fort, this unique structure, built in 1414 consists of five stories representing the five steps to enlightenment, topped by thirteen rings, symbolizing the stages of advancement towards Buddhahood. There are 108 (a sacred number in Buddhism) halls inside, each with frescoes and Buddha Shrines, the frescoes showing a strong Indian influence. Before 1959 traders coming from Kalimpong and Gangtok ( India ) used to enter Tibet through Yandong and then to Gyantse, en route to Lhasa .

Day 07: Drive to Shigatse (245km) 3900m. Shigats is the place of the famous Tashilumpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama visit Tashilunpo Monastery. Shigatse is famous for its Tashilhunpo Monastery; it is the seat of the Panchen Lama, who is regarded as the reincarnation of the Buddha of Endless Enlightenment. Items of interest inside this monastery, built in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama, are the relics of Sakyamuni, the Hall of Maitreya, and a vast collection of Thankas, frescoes and statues. There is a bustling ‘free’ market at the foot of the ruins of the Shigatse Fortress where, one can buy local handicrafts embedded with coral and turquoise, Tibetan daggers, Chinese porcelain and yak butter. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Shigatse Shegar (New Tingri) (4050m.) - 244 k.m.
Today we restart the journey following the Friendship Highway , through spectacular landscape of Tibet , crossing the highest pass on our journey, the Gyamtso La (5220m). Then we continue towards the plains passing lonely monasteries and the camps of nomadic herders, en route to Shegar. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 09: Drive Shegar (4050m.) - Rongbuk -65 k.m.
As we leave Shigatse, we turn off the Friendship Highway and head south over the Pang La (5150m) towards the main Himalayan range that give magnificent view stretching from Makalu to Shishapangma. Below the pass, as we turn the corner into the Rongbuk Valley , we can watch the charming view of Everest than ever. Overnight at Guesthouse,

Day 10: In the morning hiking to Everest Base Camp and back to Rongbuk (5000m.) and drive back to Old Tingri (4390m.) - 75 KM. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 11: Drive Old Tingri (4390m.) – Nyalam or Zhangmu (2300m.) - 181 k.m.
Drive to Zhangmu (219km) (2300m): Zhangmu is a small settlement clinging to a hillside. Across the Bhotekoshi river. Since the closure of the China / India border from Gangtok, Zhangmu has become the major trading point between Tibet and Nepal . The climate is quite different from the hinterland. The hills around Zhangmu are heavily wooded with many waterfalls in summer and impressive ice formations in winter. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 12: Zhangmu to Kathmandu: Leaving Zhangmu, we join the Friendship Bridge passing the Bhote Koshi River and mark the Chinese - Nepalese border, from here we drive to Kodari and will finish the Immigration things. After finish the all formalities we will drive to Kathmandu.

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu , you can do shopping or looking around. Join to the cultural show dinner in the evening.

Day 14: Final departure, transfer to airport

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors.
